On account of a task headed by Coca-Cola, The world’s first plastic bottle produced using reused marine plastics have now become a reality. The mega brand of soda pops gathered litter for bottles together with Ioniqa Technologies, Indorama Ventures and Mares Circulares. 84 voluntary sea shore cleanups in Spain, Portugal and 12 further ports across the Mediterranean Sea were included.

As per an official statement, 300 tested bottles made using 25% reused marine plastic show that “even the most debased plastic from the seabed can be used to produce new plastic bottles for use.”

Coca-Cola’s long haul objective is to have all its plastic bottles be produced using half reused plastics by 2030.
