The Walt Disney Co. on recently announced that its Disney Plus streaming service which launched on November 12th, gathered over 26 million customers by the end of year 2019.
Disney informed that around 10 million people joined on Disney Plus’ first day, and that’s an impressive number. Compare it with Netflix’s 170 million customers base (over 67 million are from United States and Canada), it took netflix about 13 years to get there.
How many of those subscribers are paid, a lot is still unknown. However, the company did tell that average amount per user is $5.56. Disney Plus has not released a splashy new tv show or film since “The Mandalorian”, its lead arrangement, whose star character Baby Yoda pulled in a great deal of those numbers.
